Established in 1969, Kaliabor College is a premier institution of higher education located at Kuwaritol, Nagaon, Assam. The college was provincialised in 1972 and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) since 1973 and Section 12(B) since 1989. Reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance, the institution was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2024 with a B++ Grade and a CGPA of 2.80.
The college offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across Arts, Science and Commerce streams. Undergraduate courses include B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.Voc., BCA, BBA and Biotechnology, while postgraduate programmes comprise M.A. and M.Com. The institution also offers certificate courses in Indian Knowledge System, English Communication and Museum Maintenance. As of July 2025, the academic framework is supported by 51 sanctioned faculty members, including 37 Assistant Professors and 14 Associate Professors, with 24 faculty members holding Ph.D. degrees.
